These iE Spec JE Pistons are engineered with the ideal 10.3:1 compression ratio for the VW/Audi 2.0T FSI (EA113) engine. We have tested these engines with several other compression ratios, both lower and higher and found that they are very susceptible to knocking, due to the complexity and precision of the direct injection system. This ratio allows higher boost levels with less chance of knock and cylinder detonation without sacrificing out-of-boost power or spool time and provides more power/torque per pound of boost than lower compression ratios. Speak with your engine tuner about the best fuel and boost pressures to use with your specific turbo and fueling setup for this compression ratio.
JE 180 Tool Steel wrist pins are through-hardened 52100 high-carbon bearing steel for extreme forced induction or nitrous-fed racing applications and offer high strength with low ductility. Employing the latest in technology, each pin is checked to ensure dimensional measurements and roundness. Recommended upgrade for all engines exceeding 125HP per cylinder. SOLD SEPARATELY

Optimized dish & dome design
The piston dish and dome have been individually designed for each application's combustion chamber. Special care has been taken to provide properly placed valve reliefs as needed, and they feature smooth-flowing radii across the surface for excellent flame travel. JE's dedicated Critical Manufacturing Cell designed and verified them, providing reliable compression ratios and combustion characteristics.
JE Pro Seal piston rings
Every JE piston set includes a complete set of performance-matching JE Pro Seal Piston Rings. JE Pro Seal rings result from over 60 years of experience in manufacturing racing piston technology such as NASCAR, ALMS, NHRA, and AMA. Pro Seal Ring features barrel-faced top rings made with premium ductile iron and plasma-moly inlays on the ring face, combining nickel, chrome, and other trace elements. The second ring sets are taper-faced with a reverse torsional design and finished with a phosphate coating. These high-technology designs reduce friction, lower wear, improve ring seal, and extend ring life.

This ensures consistent and exact measurements and guarantees dimensional conformity. *JE Pistons for 2.0T FSI only fit VW Audi engines with the 2.0L 8V EA113 (timing belt driven) engines. Some chassis listed above may be equipped with a 2.0T TSI EA888 Gen1/2 (timing chain driven) engine. These piston sets are incompatible with TSI engines; verify whether you have a timing belt or chain-driven engine before purchasing.
