The "H900" refers to the fact that the material has been aged at around 900°F (482°C). This treatment boosts its strength and hardness compared to the standard, annealed form.
The H900 process gives the steel much higher tensile and yield strength, making it ideal for demanding applications.
Thanks to the heat treatment, 17-4 PH H900 is very hard, which helps it resist wear and abrasion.
These studs also still offer solid corrosion resistance.
