Why All Tuning Is Not Equal

Internet File Tunes
Generic file, $50-$200, flash it yourself. No dyno, no monitoring, no accountability. Safety parameters often disabled to hit advertised numbers.

Off-the-Shelf (OTS) Tunes
Pre-made maps designed for every car with the same engine code. They operate within safe but conservative limits and do not maximise your specific engine's potential. Most OTS tunes produce timing corrections and throttle closures under load, meaning your ECU is constantly pulling timing to prevent knock. An OTS map cannot account for your engine's condition, mileage, or modifications.

Slave Tuners
A shop reads your ECU, sends the file offshore, receives a modified file back in minutes, and flashes it. They do not know what is in the file and cannot adjust it.

EuroLab Custom Dyno Tuning
We write your calibration ourselves, on our own dyno, with your car strapped down in front of us. The engine makes more power without the ECU fighting to protect it. No timing corrections. No throttle closures. No knock events. Every parameter is monitored. Every safety system stays active. Built for your specific vehicle, not a template.


Our Process

1. Pre-Tuning Inspection
Full fault scan, service history review, and pre-requisite check (spark plugs, oil, fuel filter, boost leak test). If something needs attention, we tell you before we start.

2. Custom Dyno Calibration
Car strapped to our Mainline hub dyno. We build your calibration from scratch - fuelling, boost, ignition timing, cam phasing - tuned to your engine's specific condition. Every value is monitored and logged. Faults checked after every run.

3. Real-World Road Test
Off the dyno, straight onto the road. Hills, heat soak, stop-and-start. The result is a calibration that feels stock-smooth daily but delivers full performance when you ask for it.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the tuning session take?
Typically a couple of days. Your car goes through a full health check, dyno tuning, and real-world road testing before handback. A proper custom calibration takes time to get right.

What fuel should I run after tuning?
We tune on 98 RON and recommend running 98 RON at all times. We also offer flex fuel tuning, where the calibration adapts to any mix of ethanol and 98 RON.

Can I revert to the stock tune?
Yes. We store the original calibration before starting.

Will this affect my warranty?
Yes. ECU tuning voids the factory implied warranty and any third-party mechanical warranty. This applies to all aftermarket ECU modifications, not just ours. If warranty coverage is a concern, we are happy to discuss this with you before booking.

Does tuning affect engine longevity?
Our philosophy is to deliver real performance within safe operating limits. We prioritise reliability as much as power. Every safety system remains active, and we monitor knock, exhaust temps, and fuel trims during every run. A bad tune can damage an engine. Ours will not.
