Genuine Audi/VW Haldex repair kit for Generation 5 Haldex all-wheel-drive couplings — the MQB-platform cars. The Haldex coupling is what sends drive to the rear axle, and its pre-charge pump is the part that fails. When it goes, the car quietly reverts to front-wheel drive, usually with an AWD or ESP warning light on the dash.

This is the genuine VAG part (OE 0CQ598549), supplied as a complete repair kit with the pump, gaskets and hardware so the job can be done in one go.

Symptoms of a failed Haldex pump

• AWD / 4Motion / quattro warning light on the dash
• Loss of rear-wheel drive — front wheels spinning under hard launches
• No traction from the rear in wet or loose conditions
• Haldex fault codes stored for the AWD control module

The usual cause is a blocked Haldex filter starving the pump, so we recommend replacing the filter and fluid at the same time.
