The Gen 4 Haldex pump replacement kit is the complete fix for a failed all-wheel-drive coupling pump on VAG Haldex-equipped cars. The Haldex coupling is what sends drive to the rear axle — when its pre-charge pump fails, the car quietly reverts to front-wheel drive, usually with an AWD or ESP warning light.

This is the genuine Borg Warner unit (Borg Warner build the Haldex system for VAG), supplied as a full service kit so the job can be done properly in one go rather than replacing the pump and reusing a clogged filter and old fluid.

Symptoms of a failed Haldex pump

• AWD / 4Motion / quattro warning light on the dash
• Loss of rear-wheel drive — front wheels spinning under hard launches
• No traction from the rear in wet or loose conditions
• Haldex fault codes stored for the AWD control module
